Artist BioVisual Artist, Illustrator, Printmaker Nuode Li is an interdisciplinary visual artist, illustrator, and printmaker whose work explores themes of emotion, memory, individual experience, and the natural world. She holds an MA in Illustration from Kingston University, where she developed her passion for combining traditional and digital media, and an MA in Visual Culture Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which provided a strong foundation in theoretical frameworks.
Rooted in a tactile and embodied approach, her current practice focuses on traditional media such as drawing, painting and printmaking to explore materiality and the process of making. Drawing inspiration from literature, philosophy, and daily life observation, Nuode captures fleeting emotions and visual elements that show the lives of ordinary people amid rapid societal and global changes.
Nuode’s work has been exhibited in London, Cambridge, and Liverpool, and received the Finalist for the Hiii Illustration 2022, Merit Award for the iJungle Illustration Awards 2024, and Shortlist for the World Illustration Awards 2025.
