Artist BioVisual Artist, Illustrator, Printmaker Nuode Li is an interdisciplinary visual artist, illustrator, and printmaker. She always draws inspiration from nature, literature, and embodied experience. She holds an MA in Illustration from Kingston University, and an MA in Visual Culture Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Rooted in a tactile and embodied approach, her current practice focuses on traditional media such as drawing, painting and printmaking to explore materiality and the process of making. Nuode’s work is atmospheric and emotional, capturing fleeting moments that show the lives of ordinary people amid rapid social and global changes.
Nuode’s work has been exhibited in London, Cambridge, and Liverpool, and received the Merit Award for the iJungle Illustration Awards 2024, Shortlist for the World Illustration Awards 2025, and Shortlist for the BIBF International Illustration Awards 2026.
